A Guide As to How You Can Meet and Even Exceed Your Travel Insurance Quota
When it comes to exceeding your travel insurance quota there are several tips worth paying heed to that can help you make thousands of dollars each month. Unless you know of the right way to sell your travel insurance policies you cannot hope to double your income. Many people that are engaged as sales people in the travel insurance business wonder if all the tales they hear of others just like them making six figure incomes are true or not.
Well, the first thing you need to do is not only meet your travel insurance quota but also learn how to get more appointments with the right kind of clients and then learn what it takes to close the sales. It is important that if you want to exceed your quotas that you understand the true psychology behind being successful in selling travel insurance policies.
The simple truth is that insurance sales agents by and large are a confused lot and even after spending years in the business they will still not have mastered the art of not only meeting their allocated quotas but exceeding them as well. The first thing that insurance must understand is that unless they care for their clients it will not be possible to meet their quotas let alone exceed them.
It means that the insurance agent needs to put into practice all the promises the insurance company makes in their brochures and on the billboards which is the best way of inducing a customer to purchase their travel insurance from you. You should even look at meeting your quota as being an exercise similar to making burgers in the neighborhood fast food outlet or it can be thought of as being manufacturing a widget.
You, as person selling travel insurance, will be pushed by your superiors to process maximum number of clients and to sell them everything that your company sells and to also ensure that you sell these policies right now. Someone once defined insanity as having the ability to do repetitive work with the expectation that results will be different each time.
However, there are better ways to sell your travel insurance policies than being a zombie. You need to look beyond the normal tried and trusted routines such as leaving your calling card with a prospective client and calling before holding an appointment with the client. These methods are not the most effective and they certainly won’t help you exceed your Travel insurance quota.
What you may have to do in order to earn that fat six figure income is to do things in a manner that firstly makes sense to you and secondly offers you a chance to close the deal. You may even need to use software to teach you how to improve your sales presentations and to ensure that you presentation illustrates the benefits of your insurance policy in a way that is easy for the customer to understand.
Only if you learn the tricks of the trade can you expect to have a realistic chance of meeting your quotas and even exceed them.

Background Checks – A Detailed Guide
Most people think that to run a background check you should turn to a private investigation bureau or a security company. In fact, background checks are easy to do yourself, with a little time and effort.
Background checks are widely used in business, human relations, media, education and even for screening day care workers. In many companies, background checks along with psychological tests and screenings have become integral part of hiring a person for higher level positions. You may choose to run a free background check when hiring a live-in caregiver or a nanny.
In many areas of employment, companies choose to run a background check to protect them from potential legal action. Background checks have become more common also after the tragic 9/11 events. For example, no one would wish to unknowingly hire a sales manager who had been found guilty of larceny in another country.
For many headhunters and employers, background checks can be as simple as getting a credit report or more complex checks such as in-depth verification of applicant’s educational background and working credentials. An in-depth background check could even include an investigation by a special agent of addresses where a person lived for the past few years, interviews with family, neighbors, and even ex-spouses.
More often, a background check includes checking recommendations and validating employment history; some positions require an examination of civil or criminal records, an authentication of various professional certifications, and sometimes an inspection of a credit history which is essential for positions related to finance or valuable commodities.
When a hiring company notifies you that a background check is to be performed, it does not mean that an employer has negative feelings about you. In most cases, a hiring manager may even not notify that they require the background check. However, in many cases employers are required to get your permission to access certain types of information.
Most HR professionals already know that all information required for a free background check is public and easily accessible. Sometimes, however, employers would have to pay a fee to access more specific information or hire third-party organizations to do their checks for them. To make sure you have nothing to fear, order a copy of your own credit report, a driving record, and, if you have a court history, legal records.
Generally, free background checks have limited if no access to bankruptcy information that is more than 10 years old or to other civil issues after seven years. The sort of information collected by free background checks can also vary; depending on whom performs the checks.
In most cases, unless you are particularly curious, you don’t have to perform a background check on yourself. However, you may wish to run a free background check on yourself just to make sure no errors have been made or recorded incorrectly. Now you too have the ability, thanks to the Internet to do a free background check on yourself if you really want to. You can make sure that your records are absolutely clean for that extra peace of mind, that may help you get that precious contract or a job of your dreams.

Your Guide to Developing a Successful Marketing Plan
PART A
Where does your marketing plan begin?
Itâs been said that âvision without action is simply a dreamâ. And this is certainly true with marketing. A brilliant idea will just sit there stagnant and unformed until you actually move it into action. The process of moving your idea into âactionâ by giving it a distinct direction is called a plan.
A marketing plan sets out a âframework of actionsâ required to achieve one or more marketing objectives and can be put in place for products, services, brands or product lines.
What is the life of a marketing plan?
Normally a marketing plan covers a period of one to five years. However, most organisations annually review their strategy and only focus on planning one year in advance.
How should your marketing plan be displayed?
Your marketing plan needs to be formalised into a written document. This allows you to navigate the âformal marketing planâ from broad organisational objectives down to individual action plans for each marketing campaign.
Be aware that this is a highly interactive process which will involve many drafts and revisions. This allows the impact of each stage to be reviewed and amended accordingly.
The sections of a marketing plan
A marketing plan contains several sections. In âPART Aâ we discuss the first two components of a marketing plan.
Executive Summary and Challenge
The executive summary always comes first. It is a high-level summary of the marketing plan written in an easily digestible format. The executive summary doesnât delve too deeply into the specifics â it only outlines the overarching theme and eventual result of the plan.
The next section is the âChallenge.â This usually involves a brief description of the product being marketed and outlines specific goals and targets. For example, a target may be to achieve 1,200 sales for the financial year 08-09.
Situational Analysis
This is where you conduct a detailed SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats) analysis.
You first look internally at an organisationâs strengths and weaknesses. This also includes analysing the organisationâs goals, focus, corporate culture and market share.
Then you must focus on the wider external environment and become aware of all the opportunities and threats operating in this arena.
Ask yourself â who is this marketing plan aimed at? Then analyse your customers in terms of demographics and core values so that you can determine their key buying behaviours.
Remember, you cannot afford to take your eyes off the competition. Make sure you understand your competitorsâ market position, market share, strengths and weaknesses. On a more complex level, be mindful of collaborators such as subsidiaries, joint ventures and distributors.
Finally, there is the macro view â donât forget to consider the political and legal environment, economic conditions, sociocultural situation and advances in technology. Look at how these current conditions will affect your product and customers.
At Hands On Design, we provide cutting-edge technology and solutions custom-fitted to yourself or to your business, but we also know that the best way to personalise something is to ensure that we work with the person behind it. A Guide to Free Games on the Internet
When you sit down and think about it, no other invention has impacted our lives more than the internet. You can make money fast (and spend it just as quickly); you can keep in contact with old friends, and make plenty of new acquaintances; you can check the weather on the other side of the globe, and download free games right into your living room- all while never leaving the comfort of your own home.
How many times have you surfed the internet looking for a decent gaming site and found one that offered free games for you to play, either with a free trial to that new release that you’ve been dying to check out, or a favorite “oldie but goodie” that you can download or play instantly online. Everything is going along perfectly until…Pop-ups, banners and other truly annoying tidbits start ruining your fun and destroying your computer. Now you have to remove everything you’ve downloaded, with the highest of hopes that these annoyances leave along with them.
The truly best means to avoid these frustrations is to steer clear of them from the very beginning. Finding a trustworthy, free game site online that doesn’t allow such nuisances (typically a form of advertising-for the site to make money) can be a difficult, time consuming task, for there are very few sites that will give you a good experience. That’s why we’re here- to cut through the chaos for you.
First, just as mentioned above, you won’t want to access free online games through a site that allows advertising to include such annoying pop-ups, banners, spy-ware, etc. A legitimate site will make such warnings to would be advertisers with some sort of “intolerance policy”. They will also not have such advertisements on their site.
Next, a reputable game site will have a means in which they legitimately make money. Maybe they sell software and/or game consoles, or they might just have a separate, legitimate business, operating the gaming site because they simply love to play.
Thirdly, look for help options on the free gaming website of choice, both for downloading and removing games. What good would help for downloading do you if you were trying to remove a program? Clear, concise topics that lead to a direct web page (not keeping you running around in circles) will help keep the nasties out of your computer, too.
If, after checking for all of the above, you are still unsure or feel uneasy about the situation, by all means, don’t download anything into your system. While little can be done to harm your system while playing a free game online, losing your entire hard-drive to such an avoidable item is preposterous

The Guide to Purchasing Computer Desks
Computers have evolved over the last decade so much that many of us could not imagine life without one. With the advent of the World Wide Web, computers have gone from a tool used primarily for work, to fulfilling a daily function where many of us use them for fun, socializing, and work.
With computer usage so high in this age, we are seeing a need for appropriately designed furniture that best suits the needs and style of your home or office. But which computer desk is right you? With so many options to choose from, it could be a difficult question to answer. This article details the different types of computer desks, and factors to consider when purchasing one. After reading this article, making your decision as to which desk to purchase should be a simple and fun experience.
Before you Begin:
Before stepping out of your house or hopping on the internet to find a computer desk, consider the following factors:
- The dimensions of the room the desk will go in.
- Aside from the computer and monitor, what other peripherals are there, such as printers, speakers.
- Where are the power sources located in your room?
- Who will be using the computer most often? Are they left or right handed?
- Will you need hutches, bookcases, filing cabinets, or other furniture to go with your computer desk?
Answer these questions and any others unique to your situation, and then you’ll be ready to shop.
Types of Computer Desks:
Now that you have a good understanding of your needs and wants regarding your computer desk, it is time to get familiar with the different types you may find.
Standard Desks:
- Standard desks are usually 29 to 31 inches high, built for someone of average height. Most will have a sliding keyboard shelf, and some may or may not have storage drawers. When selecting a standard desk, keep in mind any additional features you may want to include in the future.
Executive Desks:
- Executive Desks are more elaborate in detail and feature wider desk tops when compared to Standard desks. However, similar to standard desks, Executive desks are 29 to 31 inches high. Executive desk tends to be available in richer finishes, and regularly includes front drawers, and panel doors.
L-Shaped Desks:
- L-shaped desks are composed of two units that form the shape of an L. L-shaped computer desks are perfect for placing in corners, thus taking up less floor space than standard or executive desks. L-shaped desks are very popular because everything you need tends to be within arm’s reach.
U-Shaped Desks:
- U-shaped desks are made of three basic components: a Credenza and two desks flanked on each side. These desks are very ideal for people who need the extra workspace. However, U-shaped desks tend to take up the most floor space.
The above are the basic types of computer desks you may see during your search. However, it doesn’t end there, as there are other factors you may want to consider. For example, you will need a hutch for your computer desk? Adding a hutch allows you to build up rather than out. This will save a lot of floor space, especially if you’re planning on purchasing a U-shaped desk. Many computer desks will also have a complimenting hutch with the desk; usually sold separately. You should purchase the hutch at the same time as the desk, since it could be difficult to find a matching hutch in the future. You may also save money by buying an entire set or kit at the same, proving to be more economical in the long run.
Another option you may want to consider is a Computer Cart. Computer Carts are smaller desks with casters for added mobility. Carts are ideal for those who are looking to save space in their home or office, and may need to move the workstation from time to time.
Finally, consider an ergonomic Office Chair for your workstation or Computer Desk. Ergonomic Office Chairs can reduce strain on your back, which goes a long way when you spend endless hours a day by your computer.
These are the main types of computer desks you may see and the factors to consider when purchasing your computer desk. Hopefully this article has helped you understand what type of desk you are looking for, and will help you make your decision a simple and easy one.
